42com Group appoints Vladimir Smal to its Board as growth accelerates
Appointment brings fresh thinking to the Group’s strategy, challenges legacy business models and creates closer links across its voice, messaging, DIDs and satellite businesses.
London, UK, 9 September 2026 – 42com Group has appointed Vladimir Smal, Co-founder and CEO of AVISO Messaging, to its Board. The appointment comes after several years of sustained Group profitability, driven by successful organic growth and strategic expansion. By strengthening its Board now, 42com aims to maintain the momentum and proactively identify where its next growth opportunities will come from.
Vladimir will bring 18 years of wholesale telecom experience to the role, together with an ability to approach problems creatively, see the bigger picture and challenge traditional business models and legacy deals. His long-standing relationships with leaders across the voice industry will also help the Group start new conversations and identify opportunities in the international market.
Another priority will be to optimise synergies across 42com Group. This could mean using relationships and commercial strengths in voice to create an advantage in messaging, or developing bundled deals that allow 42com and its partners to work together across several product areas.
Vladimir has already demonstrated his ability to build a successful business as CEO of AVISO Messaging, part of 42com Group. That experience has reinforced a principle he will bring to the Board: do not rush decisions, but be ready to move when the right opportunity arrives.
Before launching AVISO, Vladimir spent 15 years at LANCK Telecom, progressing from a junior position in its voice team to senior leadership roles across voice and messaging.
